Yosemite National Park is popular for its high concentration of water falls in a relatively small area. There are a countless number of waterfalls in Yosemite Valley all of which are breath taking. The best time to visit enjoy the scenic beauty of these waterfalls would be during spring when thawing of snow occurs. Peak runoff occurs in Yosemite between May and June. The diversity of these waterfalls is just amazing. From 1000 feet plunge to 500 feet multiple cascades. While at Yosemite Valley you’ll always marvel at the beauty of these waterfalls. The roaring flow of waterfall in Yosemite is just serene.

Apart from the many scenic beauties of Yosemite National Park, the park is packed with rich geological history. The steep cliffs and massive domes of Yosemite Valley are products of millions of years of weathering and erosion. Yosemite Valley was made majorly due to massive glacial erosion that is responsible for scouring large chunks of soft granite. This process left the spectacular granite cliffs in its wake. The domes of Yosemite Valley were primarily made from uplifting due to merging of tectonic plates. A top of the morning view of rounded silver domes offer a sharp contrast to the clear skies. Yosemite Valley is a taste of nature’s rugged yet elegant art.
